What's in the Box
Your Deggy NXT Steel Pen System + Online includes:
• Steel Pen — the handheld wand used to scan checkpoint buttons during patrols
• DLS Online (Download Station Online) — the USB dock that downloads Pen data and transfers it to the Deggy cloud automatically
• Checkpoint Buttons & Brackets — the iButton checkpoints installed at patrol locations
• USB Cable — connects the DLS Online to the on-site computer
Note: Both software applications are downloads — nothing is included on a disc. Download links are provided in Steps 2 and 3.
Two Computers — Recommended Setup
• On-site computer — located at the patrol facility. Has the Deggy Online DLS AI transfer software installed. Stays connected to the DLS Online via USB at all times.
• Management computer — can be located anywhere. Has Deggy Control AI installed. Used to manage data, configure the system, and run reports.
Note: Can both be on the same computer? Yes, but it is not recommended. If you must use one computer, read the important note in Step 3 before installing.
Computer Requirements
• Windows 7, 8, 10, or 11 (32-bit or 64-bit)
• Windows Server 2008 R2 or Server 2012 and above
• Microsoft Office 32-bit version only — 64-bit Office is NOT compatible
• Active internet connection required on the on-site computer for online data transfer
Firewall & Permissions
• Install using a Windows account with Full Administrative Rights
• Full rights must be maintained over all Deggy software files and the database (.MDB) file
• Allow outbound connections on ports 49150 and 9090 if a firewall is active
