Register Checkpoint Buttons
Checkpoint Buttons need to be registered in Deggy Control and given a name before they appear in reports. Choose the method that works best for your setup.
Option A — Register Before Mounting (Recommended)
1. Make sure the DLS is connected and recognized in Deggy Control.
2. Place one Button face down on the Button reader on top of the DLS and twist slightly — a registration pop-up will appear.
3. Select the Button type: Checkpoint (most common), Employee, Incident, or Keypad.
4. Type the checkpoint name and optionally assign a Site → click Save.
5. Label the physical Button with its name before moving on.
6. Repeat for each remaining Button, then mount them at their locations.
Option B — Register After Mounting
7. Touch the Steel Pen to each installed Button in order. Write down the name you want for each one in the same order.
8. Insert the Pen into the DLS and download the data.
9. In the download pop-up, double-click each unregistered Button entry.
10. Select the Button type, enter the name, optionally assign a Site → click Save.
11. Repeat for all Buttons.
